Abstract
Objective To express recombinant plasmid pcDNA3.1/Ts87 in COS7 cells in vitro , so as to lay a foundation for developing DNA vaccine against Trichinellosis. Methods The pcDNA3.1/Ts87 was transfected into COS7 cells by lipofectamine reagent, and its expression product was identified by immunohistochemical assay, SDS PAGE and Western blot. Results The results of SDS PAGE and Western blot revealed that the molecular weight of the expressed protein was approximately 38 ku and the expressed protein can be specifically recognized by sera from rabbit infected by Trichinella spiralis , sera from rabbit immunized with soluble antigen of T. spiralis , sera from rabbit immunized with Ts87 recombinant protein and a monoclonal antibody of T. spiralis , respectively. Conclusion The Ts87 gene was successfully expressed in the COS7 cells.
