Abstract
Objective The study was intended to investigate the problem and solution of doctor-patient communication of clinical interns.Method Questionnaires were devised to obtain information of the status and problems among interns from several medical schools in Zhejiang province.The current curriculum for doctor-patient communication training has been reformed by revising the curriculum system,the teaching content and the teaching method.Result The problems having been examined included lack of active communication,lack of communication skills and lack of feedbacks from the patients.However,the interns' ability to communicate with patient of was greatly improved after participating several sessions of doctor-patient communication training.The feedback from both patients and employers showed promising prospects.Conclusion It is of great importance for interns to successfully develop the doctor-patient communication skill so as for them to be able to provide better service to patients.Teaching reform of the curriculum should be put into practice as soon as possible.
