Abstract

The occurrence of hyperuricemia and gout is induced by the interaction of genetic and environmental factors, and the former one is especially concerned in recent years.Studies suggested that several factors, which mainly consisted of the deficiency of pivotal enzymes involved in purine metabolism, mutations in kidney and other genetic metabolic diseases, contribute to the accurence of hyperuricemia and gout.In this paper, recent advance in the study of hereditary factors of hyperuricemia and gout is reviewed and the trend of diagnosis and prevention for hyperuricemia and gout is also prospected.
