Abstract
Effects of water temperature and photoperiod on maturation and spawn of flounder (\%Paralichthys olivaceus\%) were determined in tanks. The brood fish can mature and spawn 1~5 months earlier at high water temperature and prolonging photoperiod than under natural conditions. The formula which describes the relationships between maturing period and water temperature and lighting time was as follws: \-\{12\}=258.44-9.18x\-1-1.96x\-2 (P0.1). There is no significant influence of water temperature and photoperiod on the fecundity.
