Abstract
On the base of general AC-20 asphalt mixture, mixed with waste tire crumb rubber particles, and evaluate its low temperature performance with the index of flexural tensile strength and the largest flexure tensile strain.Test results showed that the higher the flexural tensile strength, the better of material ability to resist damage,at the same time, the ability of the low temperature shrinkage stress get stronger, the low temperature anti-cracking performance of asphalt mixture is better. The greater the largest flexure tensile strain,it show that the asphalt mixture can handle the greater strain in the low temperature, the low temperature anti-cracking performance of asphalt mixture is better. Therefore,it is reasonable to use low-temperature bending test to evaluate low temperature anti-cracking performance of asphalt mixture.
