Determination of critical spacing of horizontal wells in heavy oil reservoir

This paper presents a simple horizontal well deliverability formula using the equivalent flow resistance in heavy oil reservoir where fluid flow through porous medium with a threshold pressure gradient.After that,an economic critical spacing between horizontal wells can be defined.It can be used as a reference for arranging development well pattern in heavy oil reservoirs with Bingham fluid flow property.
