Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture and medicine in the treatment of poststroke depression(PSD).Methods Eighty subjects were randomized into two groups: treatment group in which 40 cases were treated with acupuncture and Fluoxetine and control group in which 40 cases were treated with Fluoxetine alone, with a course of four weeks. Results The total effective rate was 90.0% in the treatment group and 70.0% in the control group, with a difference between them(P0.01);after treatment, the HADM scores were reduced in both groups(P0.01),with a more significant reduction in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Combined acupuncture and medicine has excellent results in the treatment of PSD.
