Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of distortion product otoacoustic emission(DPOAE)in early monitoring and detecting presbycusis. Methods There were 65 subjects enrolled in this study, including 20 healthy controls(control group),40 patients with presbycusis(observation group). To compare the difference between two groups on DPOAE test. Results Results showed that the DPOAE amplitude and detection ratio on 0.5kHz,0.7kHz,1kHz,1.4kHz,2kHz,3kHz,4kHz,6kHz and 8kHz frequency point in observation group are significantly lower than control group(all P0.05).However,DPOAE threshold in observation group is significantly higher than control group(all P0.05).Conclusion DPOAE can early detect of age-related hearing loss and effectively prevent the occurrence of presbycusis.
