Abstract

Reservoirs in West Sulige gasfield is very tight due to long-term destructive diagenesis of compaction and cementation. Prediction of reservoir and development of the gas field is difficult due to complex geological conditions. Making use of drilling, well logging, testing, the characteristics and influencing factors of reservoirs in West Sulige gasfield are studied in respects of petrologic features, pore types and reservoir physical properties. The results show that: The rock types of West Sulige gasfield are dominated by lithic quartz sand-stone. The pore types are mainly secondary dissolution pores. Average of porosity is 7.2% and average of permeability is 0.43×10-3μm2, the poroperm characteristics of reservoir are poor. The factors influencing the properties of the reservoir are rock types, sedimentary environment, diagenesis and the distribution of source rocks.
