Abstract

To investigate the effect of exogenous phenolic acids on protective enzymes activity of soybean seedlings.Four concentration(0,50,100,and 150 μmol·L-1)of exogenous phenol acids(p-hydroxybenzoic acid and ferulic acid) were sprayed on soybean seedlings, and activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD) and catalase(CAT) were measured 5,10,15,20 days after treatment, respectively. The change of SOD activity is similar to CK under low concentration of phenolic acids treatment, while present first increase and then decrease trend under high concentration of phenolic acids treatment.POD activity showed increase, fast increase and then fast decrease trend.Under middle or low concentration of phenolic acids treatment,CAT activity of soybean seedlings showed first increase, and then decrease trend, and was higher than CK,while under high concentration of phenolic acids treatment,CAT activity was lower than that of CK.Results indicate that exogenous phenolic acids could change protective enzymes activity of soybean seedlings, and the effect varied with concentration of phenolic acids.
