The Construction of Municipal Land Use Database based on Oracle

Abstract

This paper disscusses the construction of municipal land use database which including remote sensing image,graphics,land use,area and land right into one body.In the process of building this database,the county level land utilize database,land ownership data and basic farmland data which were generated by the second investigation of land-use change were used,Also,the technologies as computer,GIS,database and Network were used.The construction of Jinzhou land use database was taken as an example in this paper to shows the workflow and method based on Oracle distributed database system by using ArcGIS and GTIS software.
