Experimental Investigation of Using RW40 Alloy to Make Hot Extrusion Die

Abstract

The causes of lose effectiveness of aluminum profile hot extrusion die made of the electro-smelted steel are analyzed.The experiments show the service life of the hot extrusion die made of the steel bonded hard alloy RW40 with forging and combined strengthen treatment is 10～15 times of that of the electro-smelted steel die,and the surfaces of extruded profiles with the RW40 alloy die are more beautiful.
