Abstract
This paper mainly analyzed and studied on the machining deformations of the thin- wall structure components in machining. The deformation control approaches were presented, and the machining experiments were done. The results shown that the machining deformation rules of the thin-wall cylinder with open slot are related to the combination of the factors such as the techniques and routes, clamping apparatus and position of clamping force, the cutting parameters and tool angle., etc.. Adopting the reasonable techniques, clamping apparatus and position of clamping force can decrease the machining deformations and improve the machining accuracy, which are three effective approaches to control the machining deformations of thin wall cylinder with open slot.
