Endoscopic Sinus Surgery,Clinical Observation for Chronic Sinusitis and Polyps

Abstract

Objective To observe the long-term curative effect of endoscopic sinus surgery(ESS). Methods 330 cases(567 sides)of chronic sinus and nasal polyps were treated with ESS,and survey 6 months～1 year was followed up after operation. Results It was found that 214 cases were cured(64 8%),86 cases achieved symptomatic relief(26 1%),30 cases failed to respond to it(9 1%),and the main syndrome was the adhesion of nasal cavity. Conclusions The curative rate of ESS was high Proper operation,preoperative and postoperative combing treatment and regular following-up are the keys to improving the operation effect.
