Abstract
Objective To investigate the health status of government employees in Tianjin and to provide scientific evidence for development of appropriate medical insurance.Methods A total of 2 822 participants were selected with cross-sectional cluster sampling method.Questionnaires were completed by all participants for health status updates,disease prevalences,dietary habits and lifestyles.Results The diseases with high prevalence were fatty liver(17.86%),hypertension(14.64%),cervical and lumbar disease(14.25%)and high blood lipid(13.11%).Multi-variable analysis suggested that health status was associated with age(OR=1.052,95% CI: 1.041-1.063),gender(OR=1.345,95%CI :1.029-1.759),BMI(OR=1.186,95% CI :1.145-1.228),smoking(OR=1.311,95%CI :1.066-1.613),sleep time(OR=0.829,95% CI:0.760-0.905),optimal timing of meal(OR=1.570,95%CI: 1.365-1.806)and breakfast(OR=1.240,95%CI:1.090-1.434).Conclusion The government employees were high risk group for some chronic diseases in Tianjin.The management and intervention of health status might be helpful for the population.
