Abstract
Combining the air-oil lubrication with CFD has become an effective way to investigate the mechanism of air-oil lubrication.A CFD-based mumerical simulation of air-oil temperature field and flow field was therefore done to investigate the air-oil temperature field and lubrication effect under proper air speed in the bearing cavities of the high-speed paper machine dryer section. The results revealed air-oil lubrication can reach the same cooling effect in the oil lubrication under condition that the calorigenic rates of rollers are same, meanwhile determined the best value of air-speed of air-oil lubrication system by the change of temperature and pressure in bearing cavities under different air speed conditions. It is confirm that the air-oil lubrication is viable in the high-speed paper machine dryer section.
