Abstract
Objective:To know about the health condition of drinking water in Xishuangbanna. Methods:According to Standard test method for drinking water, the rural drinking water was analyzed by water sampling and monitoring in Xishuangbanna.Results:966 water samples were monitored from 2008 to 2010.The qualified rates of chloride, sulfate, total dissolved solid, smell and taste, total hardness and fluoride were all 100%.The lowest qualified rate was found in total coliform(8%),followed by thermotolerant coliforms(9.2%),total bacterial count(18%) and turbidity(24.4%).The qualified rate of water samples in dry season was higher than that in wet season(χ2=29.85,P0.01),while the qualified rates of treated water and tap water had no significant difference(χ2=0.324,P0.05).Conclusion:Serious microbial pollution indicated that the water was polluted by household waste and feces of human and animal.
