On Tao Yuanming's Value Choice and Life Realm

Abstract

The ultimate question for life is closely related to value choice of h uman life.In the suite of poems Body,Shadow and Mind,Tao Yuanming expressed h is viewpoint about life and death which was called accommodating to fate and adj usting to nature when Metaphysics and Buddhism prevailed in his era.He finally found himself a destination for soul in the system between Confucianism and Taoi sm through his life experience.He farmed in fields and gardens,which has helpe d cultivate his morality,and made it an aesthetic life realm in the end.
