About Debussy and His Creative Characteristics and Style in the Music

Represented by the French composer Debussy, impressionism is a genre of music that was popular around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. With a combination of the creative characteristics of the impressionistic poets and painters and through an exploration of the nebulous and impressionistic creative features, Debussy founded the impressionistic music style based on his own unique musicvocabulary. This thesis aims at an analysis of Debussy' s creative characteristics and style in the composition of vocal, piano as well as pipe and string music.
