Abstract

The distribution of the soil organic matter can provide reliable and useful information for sustainable land management and land use planning. Regression kriging with environmental predictors was used to predict the distribution of soil organic matter in shulan city, Jilin province. The results showed that elevation, gradient, rate of gradient, Band 4, Band 5,Band 7 were significantly correlated with soil organic matter. Band 1 and Band 2 had no significant correlation with soil organic matter. Therefore, band 4, band 5, band 7, elevation, slope, slope of slope were used as auxiliary variables to predict soil organic matter in the regression analysis. Results of precision assessment showed that regression Kriging significantly improved the accuracy and it could be an effective method for evaluating the spatial distribution of soil organic matter.
