Calculation of ecological footprints and analysis of sustainable development of Minqin County

Through analyzing the dynamic changes of ecological footprint earnings and deficit from 1996 to 2006,this paper makes an evaluation on sustainable development in Minqin County.The results show that per capita ecological footprint deficit is 1.0572 hm2 in Minqin County,and the ecological footprint's output is as much three times as its input.The output of agricultural products increased rapidly recently,which would cause a heavy pressure to the ecological environment system,and exceed its carrying capacity.At last,this paper puts forward some advices to promote sustainable and harmonious development of Minqin County.
