Characters of the Confucian School of Idealist Philosophy in the Qing Dynasty

The Confucian school of idealist philosophy in the Qing Dynasty inherited thoughts of the idealist philosophy in the Song,Yuan and Ming Dynasties on the one hand, it had its own characters at the other hand. First, it had no dominant substance or thread of thoughts ;Secondly, it had no new ideas and paid much attention to ethics;Thirdly, it was struck by Western learning after the Opium War, Western learning was rejected as well as accepted by Confucian school of idealist philosophy ;Fourthly, there existed mutual belittlement and assimilation between the Han and the Song schools of classical philology during the Qing Dynasty.
