The Practice of Communicative Language Teaching in College English Teaching

Abstract

Communicative language teaching is a teaching method,taking the cultivation ofstudents' communicative competence as its ultimate aim and concentrating on communicative activities.Pursuing communicative language teaching accords with the new College English Teaching Requirements.The article discusses how to carry out communicative language teaching effectively on present conditions,in three aspects,namely,the basic principles and the practice of communicative language teaching,and some suggestions about communicative language teaching.
