Habermas's View on Rationality

Facing the abruption and imperfection of traditional rationality,Habermas does not give up the pursuit for rationality,and based on the analysis of the communicative action and life-world and the language behavior,he constructed the communicative rationality which is different from the traditional rationality view.He takes the communicative rationality as core concept to analyze the contradictions of the modern western society,putting forward his prescription for various diseases in modern society.Habermas's theory of communicative rationality complement and expand the former rationality view,and his view on rationality also pointed out an outlet for the western rationality.
