Rail line 4II Geological Conditions in the Second Phase of the Project Contract

This paper presented the general situation and the engineering conditions of the second period of the fourth line of Wuhan metro,analyzed engineering geological problems in subway construction and the influence to the subway construction caused by earthquake,atmosphere hydrology and studied the mechanical properties of rock-soil by doing a series of experiments to meet the needs of design and construction.These problems were discussed and the countermeasures were given.It was proved by practices that it was vitally important for the reconnaissance and constructional plan to recognize the engineering geological problems clearly and make scientific evaluations.
