Abstract
Objective To investigate the microsurgical approach to trigeminal neurinomas. Methods 49 cases of trigeminal neurinomas proved by surgery and pathology were reviewed retrospectively. Results Under the operative microscope, the tumors were totally removed in 25 cases, Subtotally in 20 cases, and partially in 3 cases. Conclusions CT and MRI are excellent methods in diagnosis of trigeminal neurinoma. The best surgical method is microsurgery. Right approuch selection is the key point for total tumor removal.
