Research on the Spatial Disparity of Urbanization in Henan Province

In this paper,the spatial disparity of urbanization in Henan Province was analyzed from the perspectives of cities and counties respectively.The conclusions show that the urbanization level of Central Plain city cluster,Sanmenxia,Anyang and Hebi are high,and those of Puyang,Nanyang and Shangqiu,Xinyang,Zhoukou and Zhumadian in Huang-huai area are low.In addition,from the perspective of counties,the internal disparity of regional urbanization also is obvious.Within the Central Plain city cluster,there are three layers according to the urbanization level from high to low;urbanization level of some heavy industrial cities and resource-based cities are high,others are low,such as some traditional agricultural counties in plain areas.Based on these,some strategies to promote urbanization were put forward,such as making great efforts to develop the city economy,enhancing the industrial base of urbanization,both implementing focal and balanced development strategies,and taking differentiated urbanization strategies and different strategies in different regions.
