Latest Progress on Research of Leisure in China

Abstract
In reviewing the history of leisure research in the 1990s,this paper introduces the latest research interests in this area and the achievements made in China.It is found that the introduction of overseas leisure theories,the study of leisure economy and leisure industry,the time-and-space characteristics of leisure and recreation participants,leisure planning,and the impacts of leisure and recreation activities are the most popular research areas.The paper also includes future directions for research,such as the enrichment of the study of leisure and recreation,the improvement of research methods and the expansion of leisure research areas.
