Case Analysis of Suspected Occupational Chronic Lead Poisoning

[Objective]To investigate 1 case of suspected occupational chronic lead poisoning in a lead-acid battery enterprise.[Methods] Occupational epidemiology investigation,inspection and test,etc were adopted for comprehensive analysis and judgment,according to relevant laws and regulations.[Results]The crude plant,backward production facilities,lack of labor protection articles,large amount of lead dust,lead smoke escape were the main reasons inducing occupational poisoning.The lead content in urine of patient was 2.39 μmol/L,combined with occupational history,symptoms and signs,and field investigation,the incident was primarily identified as occupational chronic lead poisoning.[Conclusion]The production condition is poor in this factory.The lack of effective protection articles and serious environmental pollution by lead vapor are harmful to workers' health.
