Treatment of Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Herniation with PDN Artificial Nucleus Pulposus of Intervertebral Disc Replacement

Abstract
Objective: To assess the clinical outcomes of patient with lumbar disc herniation treated with PDN artificial nucleus pulposus of intervertebral disc replacement. Methods:3 patients undergone with PDN artificial nucleus pulposus of intervertebral disc replacement to L4-5 single interspace for route of retreat, the preoperative JOA score to part was 5、6、10(mean, 7 points). Results: All the cases were followed up from 4 to 8 months (mean, 6 months), the postoperative JOA score to part was 28、28、29(mean, 28.3 points). Conclusion: PDN artificial nucleus pulposus of intervertebral disc replacement might be a new operation for the treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation. The short term clinical result was satisfactory, but its long term clinical result still await further investigation.
