Abstract
An indirect spectrophotometric method for the determination of hydroxylamine hydrochloride was developed. It was based on the heteropoly blue, produced from the redox reaction of hydroxylamine hyˉdrochloride with copper(Ⅱ)-phosphate-molybdate heteropoly acid.Beer′s lawwas obeyed in the range of0to7.68μg/mLwith a correlation coefficient of0.9996.The RSD was0.43%(n=6).The method has been used to determine the industrial grade of hydroxylamine hydrochloride with satisfactory result.
