Abstract
Objective:To investigate the changes of platelet complement C4d in aspirin-treated patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS),and to explore the relationship between the expression of platelet complement C4d and aspirin resistance in acute ischemic stroke patients. Methods:All the 120 acute ischemic stroke patients had received aspirin therapy(aspirin 100 mg/d,two weeks). The Platelet aggregation(PAG) induced by adenosine diphosphate(ADP) and arachiodonic acid(AA) were detected.According to PAG,AIS group was divided into aspirin-resistant and aspirin-sensitive subgroups.C4d-positive platelets were detected by FCM.Results:Aspirin resistance was found in 16(13%) patients, and 104(87%) patients were aspirin-sensitive.When compared to the aspirin-sensitive subgroup, the expression of platelet C4d in the aspirin resistant subgroup was significantly higher. Conclusion:Platelet complement C4d may be used as a maker to evaluate AR in AIS patients treated with aspirin.
