Exploration of the Concept of Modern Distance Education

Through tracing to the history of distance education, the paper analyses the various disseminating means,relevant theoretic basis as well as the relation between modern distance education and information technology in different stages and also strives for the analysis of the definition of modern distance education so as to implement the modern distance education project.
