Study on the Relationship between Mental Health and Personality Characteristics of New Secondary Vocational School Students

To explore the current mental health of new secondary vocational school students and analyze the correlation between mental health and personality characteristics,and the results showed that there is a low level of prevalence of psychological symptoms in new secondary vocational school students,so the current status of their mental health is not bad.However,2.6% students still have a serious problems on mental health,especially for the study pressure,emotional imbalance and interpersonal sensitivity;there are 1.87% new secondary vocational school students stay on a high level of anxiety;36.5% new students are mild depression while 9.9% are moderate;more than 20% students feel more inferior on study,appearance and self-worth;the difference between mental health and personality characteristics on gender is significant;the positive correlation between mental health and the SPT of D,Hx,Hy and Y are very significant and the negative correlation between mental health and the SPT of G,K,L,S,Wd are also very significant;what's more,the SPT of K,D,Y,Wd,G,Hy and S have a remarkable forecast to the mental health.
