A Brief Study of Political Value and Cultural Fate of Chinese Classics

Being early cultural classic of Chinese nation,Chinese classics had far-reaching influence on traditional Chinese political culture.Based on their stands to consolidate power,those in power in Chinese dynasties recommended and propagated Confucian classics which claimed there should be an order in those whose position were in seniority and humility,excluding Mohism classics which claimed civil liberties,holding with Taoism classics which claimed keeping out of trouble,adopting and carrying out legal classics which claimed regality supremacy.Chinese classics represented by the Analects,Mencius,Zhuangzi and Hanfeizi were interpreted and absorbed by those in power in Chinese dynasties based on their own political advantages and disadvantages,and also optically used as political culture resources from an angel of their utility requirement.
