Abstract

Structural and fault system in Wubaochang area,Northeastern Sichuan Basin,experienced the embryonic,burial depth,formation and reforming stages from early indo-Chinese to late Himalayan epoch and a southwestward-bulged structure pattern formed.Based on core analysis and outcrop observation together with well-logging curve data,it is considered that Xujiahe Formation develops mainly four sedimentary systems of humid fan,braided river,braided river delta and lacustrine.Furthermore,this formation is a deposition of both braided river and braided river delta plain.In this paper,a conclusion that the sedimentary system of Xujiahe Formation is controlled by tectonism obviously on the plane has been drawn based on structural development and evolution in Northeastern Sichuan Basin.
