Abstract

We should evaluate ZengGuofan comprehensively.As to TAO YUEFEI XI,its basic content was not consisitent with the facts,and the opinion of this document was behind the level of the period.Though Zeng Guofan got vicoty over HongXiuquan,he had the desireness for death because of his despair of Qing Dynasty.Zeng realized that Chinese should study modern science,and he became the executor of TaiPing TianGuo Revolution's dying words.
