Abstract
In the synthesis of process of alkyd resin,the CTA(industrial grade terephthalic acid) was used to replace the current extensive used phthalic anhydride and other dicarboxylic acids.The CTA alkyd resin have been successfully synthesized.Various performance of the obtained resin paint can reach the national standard of similar products synthesis by phthalic anhydride.Some properties such as gloss,dry rate,hardness even exceed the similar products synthesis by phthalic anhydride.Under the condition of without doing improvement on the existing reaction equipment and process conditions of the paint factory,synthesis of CTA alkyd resin paint by CTA can reduced the raw material cost by 15%~20%.
