Abstract
The compound KdV equation is a model of propagating of nonlinear wave and the application of its exact solutions are of importance in various fields sach as crystal lattice and hydrodynamics.By using the homogeneous balance principle (HBP) and the F-expansion method proposed recently, some new exact solutions for compound KdV equation,including double periodic wave solutions and solitary wave solutions are obtained.
