Effects of Controlling Pantana phyllostachysae Larvae with Matrine

The experiment at Shaxian County,Fujian province was carried out to control Pantana phyllostachysae with 1.1 % of matrine powder,matrine-nicotine smoke agent and matrine smoke agent on 3rd-instar larvae in 2012,spraying dosages of the 3 pesticides was 22.5 kg.hm-2,750 mL.hm-2 and 750 mL.hm-2,respectively.The results indicated that control efficiencies were more than 90% and more than 95% respectively after spraying powder or smoke 2 days and 3 days later.Furthermore,3 pesticides didn’t have evident controlling differences for the latter.So popularization and application of this new control measures were applied while P.phyllostachysae initiated and damaged in Ph.pubescens forest.
