Abstract

News is one of the main targets of critical discourse analysis,and transitivity theory is an effective tool to reveal the hidden ideology in the news.This paper gives a critically comparative analysis to English news discourse and its Chinese version,using transitivity,with the purpose of revealing the ideological diversity caused by the translator during the process of news translation.
