Abstract
Objective To study the clinical effect of complex trabeculectomy for primary glaucoma and its complications. Methods 58 cases(76 eyes) with primary glaucoma were randomized into two groups:Complex Trabeculectomy Group(Group A,43 eyes) and Trabeculectomy Group(Group B,33 eyes). The intraocular pressure(IOP),fitering blebs,e anterior chamber depth were recorded and compared. Results Postoperative shallow anterior chamber took place in 2 eyes in Group A and 9 eyes in Group B.Postoperativ IOP were 12.8 mmHg and 13.6 mmHg at 2 weeks in Group A and Group B respectively, and 17.6 mmHg and 20.8 mmHg at 6 months.Postoperative functional filtering blebs were 36 eyes in Group A and 27 eyes in Group B. Conclusion Complex trabeculectomy has less complication, high success rate and safety.
