Evaluation Study on Agricultural Resources Utilization in Hunan Province

Agricultural resources evaluation is the basic work of agricultural resources in Hunan province.In recent years,the situation has changed greatly,and the previous ideas,methods and means,and index systems for agricultural resources evaluation no longer suit the agricultural development in the new era,and the adjustment of rural and agricultural economic policies demand higher targets and requirements for agricultural resources evaluation work.Therefore,on thc basis of taking an inventory of agricultural resources,it is necessary to make an objective and equitable re-evaluation of Hunan agricultural resources with new views and concepts,and with advanced methods and modernized technical means.The present paper constructs the basic paths of thinking for Hunan agricultural resources evaluation in the aspects of evaluation guiding ideas and principles,makes use of such evaluation models as the agricultural resources sustainable utilization model and resources abundance index model,and makes a comprehensive evaluation on Hunan agricultural resources in the aspects of resources sustainable utilization and resource abundance,and draws the conclusion which is in consistent with the real situation of Hunan agricultural resources.Besides,based on the constraint factors for agricultural resources to realize sustainable development,and with the purpose of correctly using and protecting cultivated land,the paper proposes countermeasures and suggestions for the realization of sustainable utilization of Hunan agricultural resources: setting up an intensive agricultural production system,carrying on development and protection of agricultural resources at the same time,strengthening technological support for the utilization of agricultural resources,greatly developing eco-agriculture,and putting great efforts to cultivate new-type farmers.
