Abstract
Water shortage restricts the sustainable development of water resources in the Manas River.Therefore,a comprehensive evaluation of the sustainable development of water resources is important to the basin's sustainable development.In this paper,we form four subsystems of water,social,economic,and ecological environment,,evaluate the sustainable utilization of water resources on the basis of projection pursuit techniques.The evaluation results can provide a scientific basis for water resources sustainable development.Finally,this paper gives suggestions cocerning the water resources sustainable development and serves as a reference for the utilization of water resources.
