Abstract
The passing of NCLB in 2002 declared the end of bilingual education in America.The term bilingual vanished from American education history.From then on,the federal government neither supported nor opposed the bilingual education.There were many reasons leading to the failure of bilingual education in America,such as the political interference,the negative propaganda of the non-governmental organization and the shortage of qualified bilingual teachers and financial assistance.
