Abstract
Objective To determine the content of ferulic acid in different decoctions of radix angelicae sinensis, rhizoma chuanxiong and flos carthami in alternative combinations, and get the optimum combination. Methods The content of ferulic acid in decoctions was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Results The content of ferulic acid in the decoction of the three ingredients was the highest. The method of mixed decoction was better than single decoction. Conclusion The three-ingredient decoction is the best method, benefiting the full extraction of ferulic acid.
