Abstract
Pod shattering after mature exists extensively in Cruciferae species such as rapeseed. The study advances of detection methods,agronomy,physiology,genetics and molecular biology on pod shattering traits of rapeseed were summarized in this paper. The factors influencing pod shattering and methods how to decrease pod shattering were also discussed. These advances are important references for the studies of pod shattering in rapeseed.
