Abstract
Adsorption and enrichment of nickel on activated carbon pregnated with demethylglyoxime were studied. The optimal conditions of dimethylglyoxime carried on activated carbon and its adsorption and elution to nickel were selected. A new separation and enrichment method for the determination of nickel by atomic absorption spectrometry has been developed. The enrichment factor is 40 for nickel. The proposed method has been used to determinate nickel in the ground water with satisfactory results.
