Abstract

Imidacloprid residue levels in rice were determined by HPLC. Recovery of imidacloprid added to soil, straw, unpolished grain, chaff, and water samples ranged from 71.66%to 96.34% with a C.V. of 0.31% to 11.44%. The degradation half life of imidacloprid was 1.2 to 2.0 d in straw, 1.1 to 3.1 d in water, and 5.6 to 15.3 d in soil. Final residues in unpolished grain were all less than 0.025mg/kg.
