The Investigation on Sports Population of Minority Nationalities in Poor Area in Hubei Province

In order to understand the current situation of sports population of minority na tionalities in poor area in Hubei province, find out existing problems in sports development, provide basis for the formulation of its regulation, the author in vestigates the sports condition of minority nationalities in poor area through u sing the method of questionnaire investigation and interview on 6 200 subjects. The result shows that the number of sports population of minority nationalities in poor area in Hubei province is far below the average level of other areas all over country, and also low than other minority regions. The main reason that le ads to low of sports population is out of date ideas, lack of basic sports organ ization, shortage of sports fields and equipment, heavy labor work.
